The age of quiet web pages has ended!

A personal message to you from Dexter Babcock of www.GetDexter.com

 

I’m violating my personal rule of long web pages  along with all kinds of other kinds of techniques, methods, rules, tidbits, SEO, optimization rules to share this message.  Read this before I come to my senses!

 

The age of really, really long web pages of endless text has ended!  

 

You know it!  But not everyone else does... Yet...  But still there needs to be a balance.

 

The World Wide Web is place of constant change. Do you feel like the  market is a abuzz with all kinds of answers and solutions to help make people’s  personal, small business or corporate web presence be “different” or stand out in the marketplace.

 

So you are looking for a media solution that fits you or your company.  Do you feel at times you are the “tin can” waiting to be opened up by a “canned” can-opener solution fix your problems?  Yes, there are valuable products and services out there.  But are suffering from infoglut to the point that you feel like tossing in the towel rather than try anything?

 

Many of these solutions involve selling you a product where you need to do more homework before you see any improvements.  Many times this involves a total rethink of your entire schema (fancy word)  before you see ANY changes in your messages on the web.  You really didn’t want to buy into a solution before

 

Tired of all those long sales pages and pitches?  Features and benefits ablaze.  How about a pile of bonuses?  Sometimes those bonuses are of use, but other times you wonder if you wandered into the basement of The Used Food Store. There are many experts out there who design such and sell landing pages designs.  So it works statistically for now.  People keep using it until a new idea crops up.

 

But what if you have more to offer than using a landing page of someone else's design?  Or what if you want to combine some ideas (good or bad ) and need help to add that extra twist to your message?  

 

The solution is afoot.  Most the time it does require hard work.  But you can do it intelligently by combining  The “canned” solutions , customized designs , media and most importantly what YOU have that  is unique to the web to make that difference.  Whether that difference is just a message, a product or your corporate image.  Anyone who tells you that they have All the answers is already falling off the Internet onramp.  Yes there are masters of Internet Marketing and Communications out there.  The best ones are always learning and willing to share their mistakes as keep up as well.

 

You have many choices.  My suggestion is that you be bold and prepared to make mistakes in creating your unique identity on the web.  The road from starting from ground Zero to a fully polished web presence involves many experiments and tests.   Try “Something” .  Don’t be stalled at the starting line wait to see if its okay to start the your Internet Communication Engine.  Start the engine.  Put your goggles on and go when the light flashes green.  No one is looking if you fail.  They are looking at the winners up at front. The people who cruise the Internet are too busy to worry about the duds.  If you crash spectacularly in the back..  You may find that you are a winner after all.  Don’t worry.  Its just the web.
