Gold Prospecting Equipment Upgrade

Gold Prospector “Nugget George” had a great idea. (Well he has many great ideas)
After much study, work and reflection... He came up with a great idea for an upgrade to gold prospecting equipment. It is subtle, but does the job. Sometimes what appears on the surface to be simple , really involved quite a bit of work.
This is a niche product. How about doing some “testing” out there to see if there is much interest in it or should he hoard the idea to himself?
So as a trial balloon; he wanted to post a simple quick and dirty video to the web. So a “teaser” video was made with just enough information that people can contact him for more information about the upgrade. Other places he can add supporting text (such as on mining forums) with more details about how to make it.
This whole video has a total running time of 25 seconds. Some 15 seconds of the video are opening and closing slides with contact information if someone accidentally stumbles onto the video and wants some type of clue of the subject.
Short and sweet. Guess what? Without any promotion of any type or any other reference.... He has noticed a high number of people reading his gold prospecting forum post with this video with nearly a one to one correspondence of the readers clicking on the video. The result? He has received a number of comments and inquiries about this VERY niche product.
This video was created by taking some quick clips of video by a Digital Camera on high speed frame capture mode (60 fps) using natural light to capture the wave action.
Such an example could be applied to your situation.
